About the event

“How to Advocate for Your Loved One” is a 90-minute virtual class presented by Valley Caregiver Resource Center. Every Caregiver has challenges when trying to advocate for their loved one within the medical system. Our guest speaker Kim Jackson-Massaro, LCSW, Medical Social Worker from Kaiser Permanente, will be providing tips and tools to help family caregivers better advocate for their loved one while at the hospital or doctor appointments. We will be talking about: what questions to ask, how to prepare for discharge, what to keep an eye out for, and how to talk to the doctors about your concerns.
