An older Adult Social Day Program that provides individuals with Alzheimer’s, other related dementias or brain impairment with something meaningful to do during the day while their caregivers are afforded the opportunity to take breaks, work outside of the home, or run errands. This support ensures the safety of individuals who may not be able to remain at home without supervision. Participants feel productive through meaningful activities including:
- » Open Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm with extended hours to accommodate working families.
- » A hot full lunch.
- » Opportunities to socialize by making new friends and sharing interests.
- » Physical and mental stimulation such as games, music, discussions and exercise.
- » A change of scenery that offers a new perspective in a safe, supportive and comfortable enviroment
- » An opportunity to serve through community projects.
- » Registration includes a physician report and TB test completed in past 6 weeks.
We also offer a Saturday respite program, typically the second Saturday of each month.
- » 10:00 am – 3:00 pm.
- » ONLY $25.00 for the day.
Grant Funding may be available to help defray the cost of services. The funding is based on availability and is not guaranteed.

In addition, Valley Caregiver Resource Center provides information, support groups, care-giving classes, individual consultation and an array of services to help family caregivers cope with the demands of care giving and maintain their own health and well-being.
PALS
PALS is a program of OASIS for individuals over the age of 40 with mild cognitive impairment or in the early stages of dementia. The goal of PALS is for individuals to remain as independent as possible while continuing to enjoy usual activities and occupations. PALS participants:
The PALS program features:
- » A 6 hour day program: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
- » Trained and experienced staff and volunteers with a ratio that allows for individual attention as needed.
- » Social, physical and cognitive activities proven helpful in the treatment of memory loss/dementia.
- » Supervised filed trips to local recreation and points of interest.
- » A very special “peer” group to promote self esteem.
PALS participants must be in good physical health, be able to attend to activities of daily living with minimal assistance, and must have a steady gait. Most importantly, PALS members must be willing to have fun with their peers!
