HICAP: New to Medicare

Whether you’re turning 65 this year or starting to receive Medicare due to a disability or medical condition, you probably have questions.

Do I need to apply for Medicare or will it come automatically?

  • Does everyone get Medicare?
  • What’s Medicare Advantage?
  • How do I get my prescriptions covered?
  • What is Medicare going to cost?  (Yes, it does cost.)

So plan to join HICAP on Saturday, March 2nd,  for  HICAP’s “New to Medicare” workshop.  Our Medicare counselors will answer your questions and give you the information you need to make your best choices for a Medicare plan that will meet your health and financial needs.

HICAP DOES NOT SELL INSURANCE

There will be no pressure to buy or follow-up phone calls from agents.
It’s INFORMATION ONLY at this March 2nd workshop.
To reserve your space, call us at (559) 224-9117.

16th Annual Celebration of Care

The 19th of October marked a very special event for the Valley Caregiver Resource Center Family--The 16th Annual Celebration of Care event, which was held at the beautiful Wolf Lakes Park.  The evening was near perfection as our supporters and friends gathered to show their support of all that Valley Caregiver Resource Center provides each and every day.  This year’s event was especially memorable as Guest Emcee Matt Otstot from KSEE 24 kept the evening going with a fun and lively dialogue!

The unveiling of our new Faces of Valley Caregiver images, the contented purring of the Cat Haven’s kitty-cats, the donations for the Angels of Caring, and the smooth gliding of the boats as they sailed across Wolf Lakes with the glimmering lights of the event in the distance, all added extra special ambiance to a memorable evening.

Thanks to all for a magical night. Your support will bring help and happiness to so many in our community.

PALS Ribbon Cutting

PALS Ribbon Cutting & Open House
Valley Caregiver Resource Center is excited to announce a
new program—PALS Adult Day Program.
On December 5th we had the ribbon cutting and open house; we had the
privilege of having District Representative from Congressman Jim Costa Office,
Melissa Mata to officiate the ribbon cutting.
PALS is a unique program for men with mild cognitive impairment
or in the early stages of dementia. This program is designed to help
individuals remain as independent as possible, while enjoying activities and
socialization.  Valley Caregiver Resource
Center is excited to introduce this much needed service to our community.
