OASIS
OASIS BROCHURE
Older Adult Social Services (OASIS) provides individuals with Alzheimer's, other related dementias
or brain impairment with something meaningful to do during the day while their caregivers are afforded
the opportunity to take breaks, work outside of the home, or run errands. This support ensures the safety of
individuals who may not be able to remain at home without supervision. Participants feel productive through
meaningful activities including:
- Opportunities to socialize by making new friends and sharing interests.
- Physical and mental stimulation such as games, music, discussions and exercise.
- A change of scenery that offers a new perspective in a safe, supportive and comfortable environment.
- An opportunity to serve through community projects.
OASIS also provides training and support for family members and professional caregivers.
